The rail cap is a spruce sail boom form the owner's sail boat.

Restoration of the Governor Henry Lippitt House Railing, Providence, R.I.
In order to duplicate the design of the fence for the stair railing, 1 3/4"
solid round steel needed to be power hammered
into 1 1/2" octagon and than hand forged to conform to the stair case curve.
The straight fence panels were custom cast by Cumberland Foundry.

Goat Island Railing
The steel and brass railing (above) was designed by John Hall Nelson Interiors, 340 Sunset Dr., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. It
incorporates a hand blown glass ball and hand formed brass floral elements. Rather than assemble metalwork that can be found anywhere from mass produced elements, Martell creates unique handmade metalwork.
